UKIP Stretford & Urmston

Council Elections

There were council elections in 2014, 2015 and 2016.  There is no new council election until 2018 now.

You can see the candidates for 2016 in the archived pages HERE.

In Stretford & Urmston we came predominantly third, with a few fourth places.  Should we all give up?  No, we should not.  Across the road in Manchester they came predominantly second with a few third places.  By 2020 we expect to be coming first in wards in Manchester. A lot of good work went to waste in Trafford because of how the branch was structured and run.  Those issues have now been removed from the party and Trafford was closed and new branches created in Stretford & Urmston and Wythenshawe & Sale East.  The biggest complaint was about certain people, we confirm they are no longer a part of the Trafford branches.

So, we expect that if we put the work in tot he branch between now and 2020 and we work hard at showing the people of Stretford & Urmston and in Wythenshawe & Sale East and especially in Manchester that we will prove that we are the party of the people and gain seats.  I continue to work with the branches.  The people that stood in the May 2016 elections continue to work with the branches.  We will work hard and we will ensure that by 2020 we will have local and national candidates attaining office.

If you have any questions, please contact this website.  We would be happy to discuss anything with you, and we would be happy to attend debates.  We are busy with the EU Referendum, but we are heavily backing two wards in the May 2016 elections for Trafford Council.

If you wish to assist in leafleting for the cross-party EU Referendum (we currently only work with people from the conservative party, it would be nice if we could include Labour, Lib Dem and Greens in that) please contact us, we would be delighted to hear from you.
